In the remastered game, Daryl retains his attractive appearance, though his hair lightens noticeably and becomes less neatly combed to the side. Instead, it is slicked back and messy.

All too willing to use his good looks and charm to his advantage, Daryl is flirtatious and playful by nature, taking a liking to Nancy almost immediately. He is a hard worker despite this, running a diner almost single-handedly, and takes on responsibilities within his school.
